Welfare comes first
Animal suitability, individual needs and the setting are considered before a visit is agreed.
Animal-assisted interventionKITH brings people and animals together through thoughtful, welfare-led programmes for schools, healthcare settings and communities.
Insured and ready to assess venues and community needs. Dogs and a couple of ponies are available, subject to individual needs, setting-specific risk assessment and animal welfare.

Connection, at their pace.
Every visit begins with care, choice and the right conditions for everyone.
More than a visit
Animal-assisted intervention is more than bringing an animal into a room. KITH programmes are shaped around the people, the setting and the animals—with clear goals, trained practitioners, considered risk assessment and species-appropriate welfare.
How we workAnimal suitability, individual needs and the setting are considered before a visit is agreed.
Risk assessment, safeguarding and practitioner competency are part of the programme—not an afterthought.
We work alongside schools, healthcare and community partners to shape an appropriate approach.

The KITH approach
We create supported opportunities for connection. No assumptions about what someone should feel or achieve—just a thoughtful programme, responsive to the person in front of us.
See the servicesWhere we work
Every setting is different. We start with a conversation about needs, access, suitability and what a safe, appropriate visit could look like.
For SEND-specialist schools, resourced provisions, alternative provision and mainstream schools supporting SEND learners. Referrals can be funded through school budgets or commissioned directly.
Programmes structured with healthcare governance and procurement in mind. Safeguarding, risk assessment, animal welfare and handler competency are built into delivery.
Working with charities, voluntary groups, community organisations and local authorities to explore suitable access for adults and young people.
We have secured our first commissioning school and welcome further partners. Every visit remains subject to assessment and suitability.
For commissionersThe animal’s experience matters
Dogs and a couple of ponies are available for consideration. An animal only takes part when their welfare, the person’s needs and the environment make it appropriate.
